In the beginning, there was.............
Mildred Watkins.
Milme Hoag and Barbara Jones are sisters, and provide the link between the two branches of the family. Their maiden name was Carideo, and their Mother, Mildred Watkins, was born in England in 1897 and emigrated to the USA in 1914. She arrived, on the Lusitania, as the eldest in a group of four, in charge of her 3 younger siblings, on Ellis Island on Dec 23, 1914, age 17 years 11 months. She married Jerry Carideo and had two daughters, Milme and Barbabara.
